After School Fun

One of their favorite times of the day is probably after school. Everyone gets home at about the
same time and they play, play, play with Rachel and Ethan. We can never move! The picture of Rachel and Timothy is pretty funny as it looks like they are playing tough with guns. Little would you know that the last two days they have spent most of their time playing babies! It's pretty funny, but glad to see Timothy returned to his gun and the sand.

Sioux Falls Criterium

While we were disappointed we didn't get to spend the whole weekend with Mark and Kate and kids, we did enjoy the race day last Sunday in Sioux Falls.  It was well organized, and Dan won his category.  There were four EVCC members racing in his category, so I think it was a fun race for him too.  He finished first by less than 1/100th of a second to one of his teammates.  Good thing Finish Line Bob was there!

Defining Clayton...

He started football practice last week.

Clubhouse Reading Contest

This summer Clayton participated in a reading contest sponsored by the Clubhouse magazine from Focus on the Family. He had to read at least 2,500 pages and had to read at least one book from each of these categories: Faith Building, Christian Biography, Mystery, Adventure, and Fiction. He loved it.

Puppy House

Ben and Timothy's favorite inside thing to do is play "puppy house"... which typically consists of pulling all the pillows from everywhere and piling them on the couch.  Sometimes it involves barricades of chairs too.  Look for the arm...

A Spoiled Way to Travel

July Bike Races

One of the July weekends found us biking racing again - this time in Omaha. It consisted of a TT Saturday morning (we skipped it because baby Joshua was born the night before) and a crit in Papillion Saturday night and a crit in downtown Omaha on Sunday. It was strange racing without John and Liz.

Joshua David Spray

We were excited to welcome our first nephew on Dan's side to the family yesterday - born Friday, July 11, at 2:32 p.m. to Dan's brother John and his wife Liz. He weighed 7 lbs 10 oz and is 21" long. Born c-section, but mom and baby are both fine. Our boys were so excited to meet him! Most of Timothy's words start with an "h" sound, so Joshua is "ha-ha". Quite funny.
